Quality Engineer - K Technologies


Summary of position:

Quality Manager


Summary of position:

Under indirect supervision, the Inspector I will be responsible for inspecting purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company products according to check lists, drawings, and or inspection procedures using standard physical/mechanical measurements and visual assessments.


Also Responsible for:

• Continuous improvement programs, quality management system audits and compliance.

• Management of ISO 9000 Quality System.

• Conduct quality inspections throughout the plant floor

• Analysis of rejected materials

• Investigate customer complaints.

• Maintenance and analysis of test data and results.

• Plan, advocate and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability.

• Periodic Management Reporting.



• Bachelor's degree in Engineering other technical discipline required.

• Minimum of 5-10 years of manufacturing, quality and supervisory experience.

• Specific experience in plastic extrusion blow-molding, properties of plastics

• Experience with metal forming.

• CQM, CQE, CQI certification desirable

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principles, as well as a thorough understanding of the directives of ISO 9000

• Acute communication, leadership, team-building skills and a strategic-visionare necessary qualities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere with a high level of accountability and autonomy

• Proficient with Microsoft Office

• Occassional travel may be required

Quality Control Technician - Buffalo Pumps


Summary of position:

Buffalo Pumps a well-established Western New York capital equipment manufacturer requires a Quality Control Technician. Position requires an agressive self-motivated individual who has selected Quality as a career path and is interested in advancement.


Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret machining drawings, procedures, and various ASTM and Military specifications; inspect machine components, ability to use all types of measuring equipment, including coordinate measuring machine.

• Prepare and process data relating to the quality rejection system, including root cause and corrective action.

• Work with QC inspectors and with other departments to resolve quality/manufacturing issues in a union environment; perform analysis, monitor processes - to suggest and determine actions to correct; work with customers and suppliers to insure requirements are met, determine and implement required corrective actions

• Assist where necessary in maintenance of ISO 9001 Quality System, including internal auditor duties


Required/Desired Experience:

• Good math skills are required in working with fractions, decimal equivalents and coordinates, relating to machining..

• ISO 9001Quality System Requirements

• Coordinate calibration system - maintain system and documentation as required.

• Machine Shop Background, familiar with casting and foundry techniques, welding and welding inspections, and NDE including Liquidpection.

• Must be fully adept in the use of eMail, and all Microsoft Office Programs and other computer processes including MRP.

• Engineering or technical degree in a manufacturing or related discipline required, with 3-5 years of related experience

• ISO 9001Quality System Requirements

• Coordinate calibration system - maintain system and documentation as required.

Quality Inspector - EverFab


Summary of position:

The QC Inspector performs dimensional inspections on high precision machined parts in accordance with customer and industry specifications.


Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints

• Understand GD&T

• Know and understand the use of inspection equipment (Micrometers, bore gages and optical comparators, etc.)

• Perform first piece, in-process and final inspections.

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Understanding of Statistical Process Control is a plus

• Operating and/or programming Vision CMM (Automeasure Software by Nikon).
